Creek Bite Live ("Creek Bite," "we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (stored securely via Supabase Auth), and optionally your display name.
Location Data: With your permission, we use your GPS coordinates to find nearby USGS gauges and show local conditions. Your precise location is stored only in your browser's local storage and is not transmitted to our servers except as needed to fetch weather and gauge data from third-party APIs.
Catch Log & Trip Data: Catch records and saved trips you create are stored in our database (Supabase) associated with your account.
Access Point Submissions: If you submit access point photos or confirmations as a field tester, that content is stored in our database and may be displayed to other users.
Usage Data: We do not use third-party analytics trackers. Basic usage data (such as feature interactions) may be logged by our infrastructure provider.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (the third-party services listed above) or as required by law.
Access point photos and submissions you make as a field tester may be visible to other Creek Bite users as part of the community access database.
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at creekbite@gmail.com.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and row-level security policies on our database. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password.
Creek Bite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting creekbite@gmail.com. You may also export your catch log data by contacting us.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
